Tim Donohue updated DS-979:
---------------------------
Attachment: DS-979-version2.patch
I'm attaching a slightly updated version of Kevin's patch, to modify
'solr-statistics.cfg' similar to other module configs. Mainly, it removes any
'solr.' or 'solr.statistics.' prefixes from configs in 'solr-statistics.cfg'
file. Those prefixes are no longer necessary as the file itself is specific to
Solr Statistics.
I also noticed one (undocumented) configuration in SolrLogger that was
overlooked: "solr.metadata.item.#" (which I'm assuming is an optional config
for Solr Stats, as it doesn't exist in any configuration file by default).
New patch is attached as 'DS-979-version2.patch'. I've tested this patch and it
seems to be working properly.
I'll commit this patch to Trunk shortly, as in order to test DS-980, this patch
must be in place. (Currently, on Trunk, Solr Stats is broken and is not reading
its configurations properly, but this patch will fix that.)
> Move 'dspace-solr-stats.cfg' to /config/modules/statistics.cfg

> DSpace's Solr Statistics module should store it's configuration in
> /config/modules/ just like every other module.
> So, rather than the configurations being at:
> [dspace]/config/dspace-solr-stats.cfg
> We should move them to something like:
> [dspace]/config/modules/statistics.cfg
> See this email thread:
> http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06712.html
> Don't forget, after this is completed, the Statistics Documentation will also
> like need updates!
