Hmm, then why did you file the issue? :)
About 1.8 langpack release - it is possible to do it but we still haven't
decided whether we're going to do it. If so, it would probably be after the 3.0
release.
The 3.0 release date is currently scheduled for November 27, so the 3.0
langpack release would be a day or so before that.
