Pascal-Nicolas Becker commented on DS-1528 build.properties doesn't support UTF-8 encoding Please just ignore my last comment. I should have looked on native2ascii before. Native2ascii does not just convert files, it adds Unicode-encoded characters (f.e. "\u00e9") wherever a character cannot be converted to iso-latin-1. So natvie2ascii seems to be a valid workaround.
