This is adressed by DS-842 (PR #339), which makes the language available in "currentLocale".

|
XSLT should have a chance to find out the current language of the interface. That would let theme developers display different HTML (text, images, ...) depending on the current language.
The existing analogy in JSPUI is the "sessionLocale" variable.
