It is not really a thing that can be decided in a theme (whatever this mean for JSPUI - I'm still thinking about that...).
We can add a configuration parameter to show/hide in the community/collection list (and also in the community home page for subcommunities and collections). We can choose to have this default to true or false.

This is really just a question - In the default theme, generously contributed by Cineca, we display images in the list of communities and collections, the result is that the list takes up a lot of space. I suspect most people would want to remove those images to save space, so should we make that change in the default theme?
