Well... here it is 6 months later, and I'm still looking at merging this code. The patch includes a reference to "additions" which isn't really DSpace proper, and it looks like when I was testing this patch (I actually merged the code into our production repository code 6 months ago), I just dropped the additions reference and merged the changes to the shib authentication code. I don't have any notes on this, though here's the commit in my repository: https://github.com/umlso/MOspace/commit/2fd40a24b4d9d82b5097802b599a3e5fd1445e1b So... I just wanted to ask if that's what all other testers have done?

In configuring the ShibbolethAuthentication against the University of Cambridge IdP using mod_shib I discovered multiple issues with NPEs. FindBugs identified some further errors. These always showed up as Authentication Failed in the Browser.
