Hi Mark, Some extra info on how Fedora handles this sort of thing...
They actually maintain their ontologies, etc. in GitHub: https://github.com/futures/ontology Then the publish new versions off of the fedora-commons.org website (under the fedora.info) path. We could do something similar for DSpace, if we wanted. - Tim On 2/17/2014 3:02 PM, Tim Donohue wrote: > Hi Mark, > > The unfortunate answer is "no". > > DSpace doesn't have a namespace URI root, but a bunch of "fake" > (non-resolving) ones have been created throughout the years: > > * AIP format uses "www.dspace.org/schema/" > https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/DSpace+AIP+Format > > * METS exporter uses "www.dspace.org/standards/" > https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/DSpaceMETSSIPProfile > > Both of those URIs were created many many years ago (both around > 2007ish, IIRC).
