running on my laptop DSPACE failed to display an item page
I tracked it down to an exception in HandelServet HandleServet .java: displayItem
new DSpace().getEventService().fireEvent(
new UsageEvent(
UsageEvent.Action.VIEW,
request,
context,
item));
This failed with a complaint about an IP address that the code could not parse.
probable all event tracking code should be made 'exception' proof
will send in PR - where this one location is wrapped with try catch
