After merging the DS-1867, line 124 of the [dspace-source]/pom.xml becomes:
<target name="Encode any UTF-8 chars in [src]/*.properties">
note the '*' character in the name attribute which causes the "mvn package" command fail during the first steps of installation.
the problem is in the target name which contains a * character (invalid as path name). ...
