thanks for your answer.
Actually, my concerns are not for the technical aspect of the implementation. We have implemented this in previous dspace installation (1.8.0) by adding extra fields in bistream table and changing the code when needed.(e.g. http://helios-eie.ekt.gr/EIE/handle/10442/13187?locale=en).
I am asking for the input of the community regarding the usability of such case.
Is there a point (maybe and from the legal prespective) to add a license to the bitstream level rather the item level or to both levels (different license for the metadata and different for bitstream)? I mean have you heard this request for other repositories?
