Bram mentions that @mire has about 40 clients who they work with to help
install upgrades. This makes me wonder about the challenges with scheduling
upgrades to DSpace. At SNHU, we are waiting until this summer primarily because
our library is also installing a new Integrated Library System, which is going
to use all of our technical resources for several months.
What kinds of challenges with upgrades have others encountered?

Subject: Re: [Dspace-general] DSpace 1.7 discussion: Introductions
Hello,
I'm Bram Luyten with @mire. Our team works on around 40 DSpace instances around
the globe, with versions ranging from 1.3.2 all the way up to 1.7.
We're expecting that the first of our upgrade clients will launch their 1.7
installations later this quarter.
best regards,
Bram Luyten

Hi all,
I'm Claudia Jürgen repository do it all at the University Library of
Dortmund. Our institutional repository launched in 1999 and we migrated
to DSpace in 2004. At the moment we are running 1.6 (jspui) with
customizations and patches on Suse Linux. We got no definite upgrade
plans, this depends on if and when there will be an 1.7.1 release.
Cheers
Claudia Jürgen
