Andy - we also recently started receiving SWORD deposits from BioMed
Central, into the repository that we are setting up at Virginia Tech.
They are not sending us past items at this time - only the new records
as they are added. In the future, they may start sending prior
publications through SWORD once again. The setup was relatively
painless from our perspective, but the workers do seem to be quite
busy at BioMed Central these days.

We've elected to keep the items in a single collection for now, but we
may map them later.

As you can see, we've only received three records so far. You can go
ahead and browse the full records if you want to see the sort of
metadata that we receive. It's been fine for our purposes, with the
exception that one of the items was sent through without the author
information in the metadata. Nathan, our repository librarian,
reviewed the paper and added the author information for this one
record manually.

One of the papers that we received was authored by a person that is
currently affiliated with Virginia Tech, but was affiliated with
another institution at the time of the research. This was unexpected,
but that might be fine depending on the content policies for the
Athenaeum.

See you,

Keith Gilbertson
