Hi Dibyendra, I understand your confusion. Unfortunately, this is how it has been since DSpace 1.0 and there's currently no way of changing that just by modifying configuration. And it surely won't be fixed before the next major DSpace version (4.0), due out by the end of 2013. I entered this problem into our issue tracking system, so you can watch its progress or comment my proposed solution if you want. There is no volunteer yet. This will require a separate fix for each individual interface (JSPUI, XMLUI).
