Kindly help me with the below scenario:
We installed Dspace 1.8 on Windows platform. We had approximately 15,000
items in the Asset Store indexed under various Communities, Sub-Communities
and Collections. Now, the installation has crashed and we could not
retrieve the files (most of them in pdf and MSWord format). But the files
are stored as flat files in the Asset Store.
Now, we have installed Dspace 3.0 afresh on windows platform. Kindly let us
know the following:
. How do we import the data from the previous asset store to the new
(dspace 3.0) asset store?
. How to retrieve the metadata information from the previous
installation?
. How to make the retrieval work, without re-submission of the
items?
. Is there any possibility, where the indexed information is saved
in any of the files and that can be retrieved and used in the new
installation?
