Sticking my neck out, in the hope that I'll at least learn something
and may actually be helpful:
I doubt it's *impossible* but it may never have been done yet.
Since there's already a transform that produces DataCite XML, it might
be re-used if one can get the DIM document that it expects as input.
You can get the PMH ("oai") responder to render DIM. Then a transform
to extract the DIM from the PMH wrapper, and then feed that through
the DIM2DataCite transform, and you should be done. You can probably
script the whole thing with your favorite commandline HTTP tool (curl,
wget, etc.)
I'd be fascinated to hear that this actually works. Or that there's a
less complicated way to do it.
