It seems to work quite well, although DataCite expects some fields to occur only once (eg
<rights>) whereas DSpace puts both dc.rights and dc.rights.uri into <rights> fields,
creating two <rights> fields. So there's a little bit of cleaning up required, and maybe we
need to adjust our crosswalks.

you can use any existing crosswalk to transform a single record
[dspace]/bin/dspace dsrun org.dspace.content.crosswalk.XSLTDisseminationCrosswalk <plugin
name> <handle> <output-file>
The plugin name for the DataCite crosswalk is DataCite.
Thus you can validate and check your crosswalk.
