Dear Claudia, the dspace log does not report any errors on this, or I might be missing something. There is no stack trace in the view source, nor anything in the log files that would help me. And in particular because it works at the test server, that is nearly identical to the production server.
We are using the JSPUI. We enabled this feature after we upgraded our DSpace 1.8.3 installation to DSpace 5.3 and upgraded DSpace 5.3 to DSpace 5.4. For the dspace 5.3 upgrade we created a new /dspace directory, so did not overwrite old dspace 1.8.3 code, but the upgrade to dspace 5.4 was carried out by overwritting the /dspace directory.
