Hi Nada,
We recommend using local storage for DSpace. The SRB storage option has
since been removed from the DSpace codebase (and won't even be available
in upcoming versions of DSpace). As of DSpace 6 however, we do also
offer an option to use Amazon S3 for storage. But, for the vast majority
of users, local storage is the best option (assuming you have enough
local storage space for your content).

Dear community,
As indicated in this link
(http://dspace.org/sites/dspace.org/files/archive/1_6_2Documentation/ch09.html), DSpace
provides two ways to manage bitstream storage, configuring traditional
storage OR configuring SRB storage. And it's not mentioned which
approach is recommended in terms of scalability, performance when
retrieving the bitstreams.
So I would like to know which one is recommended and doesn't affect
the performance while retrieving bitstreams?
