Hello Lewatle, the settings DEFAULT_ITEM_READ and DEFAULT_BITSTREAM_READ only apply to newly ingested items. You can use the advanced policy manager. Login as admin -> Administer -> Access Control -> Authorization

Dear All, I have edited collection authorization policy it is not applying to the items submitted previously in the collection, I am using DSpace 6.2, collection has close to 500 items I would like to have previously submitted items to be accessible to the public/anonymous without them logging in, I have added DEFAULT_ITEM_READ to anonymous.
