Dear Tim & others,

let me pick up on this issue once again.

I've reimplemented our submission interface using
swordv2-server.expose-communities = true
in local.cfg

This allows to retrieve the bibliography hierarchy level by level and
makes the usage of /rest/hierarchy dispensable for us. It seems to work
reliably and reasonably fast.

So far, so good. But this is a non-default setting and we require it to
be altered.

So my questions as of now:
How common is this setting, or isn't it actually discouraged?
What is the impact if we require joint institutions to alter this
setting? If they use SWORD service document for other purposes will this
likely break something? In which cases will it break something, which
are not affected?
Deposits should be okay, I assume.

Can you, Tim, or somebody else, elaborate on this?

thanks & regards
Stefan
