Hi Gary, assuming that you are load balancing also the port 8000 and 2641 that are what the handle system use by default, you need to generate a new sitebnd.zip using the load balancer IP and ask the CNRI support to update your information in the registry.
You can check if the local handle server is working properky trying to access the http://load-balancer:8000 port. If you see an html form it is working and you only need to have your new sitebnd.zip in the central registry. Has anyone had experience with this and is able to provide some advice? I’m after some advice on how to get handles resolving – I had the handle system configured and registered a prefix with CNRI on the previous system (no load balancer). So I presume I can’t just copy the old configuration across as the IP will be different? However, if I run make-handle-config on the new system and it sets the IP as the IP of the machine, that probably won’t work either right? What is the best way to get this working behind a load balancer where the IP of the DSpace machine may potentially change?
