Hi Julia, As far as I know, the expected behavior is that collection admins *should* be able to delete the collections they are an administrator of. It looks like that's reflected in the "Assigning Roles" doc <https://wiki.lyrasis.org/spaces/DSDOC10x/pages/408944983/Assigning+Roles+in+Collections+How+to+Set+Up+Workflows+and+Grant+Privileges> as well, but suggestions or clarifications around that are always welcome - either in the documentation or for that quoted description in the user interface.
About the errors you're facing when trying to delete, if you'd like to try digging further into that would you be able to share your current version of DSpace and the logs for the errors?
