Hello, For the integration of JHove with my DSpace installation, I followed the instructions at http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/TechMDExtractor . I applied the preingest patch (I did not create a new directory however, but applied it to my existing DSpace). Now I would like to install also the TechMDExtractor. From what I read on the wiki, a new directory (TechMDExtractor should be installed). From what I see at http://libaxis1.mit.edu/viewcvs/sandbox/TechMDExtractor/ this directory should contain a lot of files which are already present in the original DSpace directory. Is this correct? As I see it now only a limited number of files are new. However install should be run from the separate TechMDExtractor directory as the build files are different. Since I have problems checking out the whole project from http://libaxis1.mit.edu/viewcvs/sandbox/TechMDExtractor/ , I wondered whether it would be ok to copy all files from the original DSpace directory and just add the new files? Also I wonder where would be the best place to put the TechMDExtractopr directory? Directly under my dspace directory?
Thanks, Karen -- Karen Janssens Mevr.
