Hi Tiago:

That limit was put in because the progress bar on the top starts to
distort the page beyond 6 (since it has a section for each step).
You can relax it by renumbering the steps in SubmitServlet (they are
constants in the source file), but be prepared to grapple with the
progress bar issues...

I'm not sure about the configurable item submission (due in the next
release), but I'm guessing that it will offer greater flexibility in
this regard.
