All, I had sent a message similar to this one across dspace-devel yesterday and received a few positive responses off-list.
I've started a Wiki page to begin to keep track of Frequently Asked For features out of DSpace. I'm hoping it will not only help developers better understand what features others are looking for, but also help non-developers/managers get a better sense of what work is currently being done towards implementing some of these features (and hopefully who is doing the work). http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/Frequently_Asked_For (I've also linked this off the main page under the "Developers" section under "Contributing to DSpace"... If someone thinks of a better location, feel free to move it.) I've "seeded" this list with 6 features I've heard being asked frequently (on and off these mailing lists), and tried to link to various projects which have started implementing those features (or already have "patches" to implement them in DSpace). I'd ask any of you who are interested to take a look, and add extra features/content/references to this page. If you are a developer and would like to help tackle one of these features (or already are doing so), feel free to add references to your plans/work.
