Hi all,
I have added methods to Item.java in the dspace-api and attempted to use
them in ItemViewer.java. When Maven try to compile the file I get the
following error:
[INFO] Compiling 5 source files to C:\workspace\dspace-1.5.x-dev\
dspace\modules\xmlui\target\classes
org.apache.maven.plugin.CompilationFailureException: Compilation failure
C:\workspace\dspace-1.5.x-dev\dspace\modules\xmlui\src\main\java\org\dspace\app\xmlui\aspect\artifactbrowser\I
temViewer.java:[199,40] cannot find symbol
symbol : method getViews()
location: class org.dspace.content.Item
I believe Maven is using the original Item.class file in
dspace-api-1.5.1.jar instead of my customized file. How do I instruct Maven
to look at my class when compiling?
I am using WinXP, Eclipse, and Dspace 1.5.1.
