Hi, I googled "dspace svn" and found http://projects.dspace.org/dspace/source-repository.html if that repository is current, the latest files should be available from there. It has a link to http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ perhaps with an svn-book in pdf format, one of the appendices has a quick start tutorial for subversion new users.
