I don't think it's a problem. I am building DSpace just fine using java
1.6.0_11. I do think there is a problem using tomcat5.5 on unix though. It
was giving loads of security policy violations until I moved to tomcat6.
Tomcat5.5 works fine with DSpace on Windoze though.
