thanks for the help, i´m not a linux admin, but i will pass the information 
to the admins.
I think it´s not so hard make these changes. :)

Hi Vitor,

Download the Sun JDK from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. 
Its ok to have more than one version of Java installed on the machine but 
make sure Dspace uses the Sun version. If Tomcat is running as user dspace 
then you may want to set JAVA_HOME in the profile for user dspace to point 
to the installed Sun JDK.
