No, but the original email asked about databases. The documents are stored in the assetstore directory (or directories), as defined in dspace.conf. If you want to have a backup to restore your entire system, you want to back up your dspace directory (by default /dspace on unix systems) as well. You can do this using standard filesystem backup tools, including dump, rsync or tar. You may also want to back up Tomcat's configuration and webapp directory, so you don't have to reinstall all of the web frontend. How that's done is something that depends on your Fedora installation, and I can't give you specifics.
