It sounds like you need to post a question on a PostgreSQL list -- you have a problem with PostgreSQL, not DSpace, at this point. http://www.postgresql.org/community/ I've been away from Windows for some time, and have never hosted PostgreSQL on Windows, but I recall that error 5 is "access denied". I think something is not right about the ownership or permissions of the process that the service controller is complaining about. -- Mark H.
