Okay, I have a little more information. The user *is* being logged in correctly; she can navigate the system as normal if she reloads pages after logging in. It is *specifically* the submissions page (/submissions) that's hanging.
Does that suggest anything to anyone? Again, nothing in the DSpace logs looks suspicious.
