Hello,

it looks like Richard was fine with his assumption. Stupid old  
permissions
problem. I had the filter-media script that produces thumbnail images  
and
the statistics scripts run from the crontab of *root*! Stupid me. With  
all
the noise that I made and all the empathy I received, I didnt want to  
wait
until tomorrow and for confirmation by my users that the problem ist  
solved
now, because I am pretty confident that it actually is. So thanks again
for great community support.
