Hi Martin,

best check the logs for more information and post it.

As you are not able to register and submit, my first guess would be the mail server configuration, as DSpace tries to send emails at both points.

Check this section:

##### Email settings ######

# SMTP mail server
mail.server=smtp.myu.edu

# SMTP mail server authentication username and password (if required)
# mail.server.username = myusername
# mail.server.password = mypassword

# SMTP mail server alternate port (defaults to 25)
# mail.server.port = 25

for valid configuration.

Hope that helps

Claudia Jürgen

Hi everyone,

I have had jspui up and running for a week or so, but have not been able to
summit or even register new users. I can create collections and communities
with no problem.

So it seems I have a basic configuration problem.

I've reviewed community and collection policies, groups, supervisors and authentication without any luck.
This implementation is running in a windows server 2003.

Help please, I dying here,

Thank so much for your help,

Marty
