Hi,

To assign authorizations to a bundle, you need to go to "Edit Item", clic on
the "Item's Authorizations" button and add the authorizations in the "Policies
for Bundle" section. The Add option works, but the "Remove" one doesn't,
apparently only a system administrator can remove bitstreams from a bundle.

My original question is if there is a way to "force" the item and the bundle to
inherit the collection's policies/ authorizations so we don't have to wait
until the item be submitted by a user and an option so any user, no
administrator, can remove bitstreams, without modifying the Java code (Servlets
or the equivalent in XMLUI).

Thanks.

This is the exact problem we're having and I don't know how to assign the
authorization to "Add" to bundle.

Subject: [Dspace-tech] Inherit authorization from collection to items and
bundles

Hi,

We're working with DSpace 1.5.1 and when a user wants to add or remove
bitstreams (files) to an ítem, that was already submited, appears an
authorization error. The user already has all the privileges in the community
and the collection.

In order to allow the user to add or remove bitstreams we have to give them the
authorization directly to the bundle.
¿Is there a way to inherit the authorizations from collection to items and
bundles, so we don't have to wait until the item be submited?

Thanks for the help you can give us.
