Today I noticed that in order for the "special group functionality" to work you have to be logged in ( in version 16). I'm not sure why this change was put in 16, but we prefer not to use it. We often put user in special groups solely based on ip, and that's good enough. Just wanted to point this out in case others are confused by it.
