Hi Tim,

The problem only arises in Internet Explorer.

I was able to reproduce the error in demo.dspace.org:

*. Log as dspacedemo+ad...@gmail.com
*. Access to "01 - OR2010 Collection 2" collection.
*. Submit a 13Mb file only specifying "title" (mandatory field).

The error that i get is:

"""
Problem in creating the Request
Message: null

Description: No details available.

Sender: org.apache.cocoon.servlet.multipart.MultipartFilter

Source: Cocoon Servlet

cause

Malformed stream

request-uri

/xmlui/handle/10673/249/submit/4c140e43395c876b8477114f10516c0255514046.continue

Apache Cocoon 2.2.0
"""

My environment is Windows XP SP2, with IE8.
