Thank you Alan.

You are correct. The github tag "dspace-1.7.2" is incorrect, and points to a
situation where the pom is configured for 1.7.3-SNAPSHOT, which you don't
want.

As a result, I have created a new tag on Github, called
dspace-1.7.2-correct<https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/tree/dspace-1.7.2-correct>
.

Anyone using Github for their source code should use dspace.1.7.2-correct
instead of dspace-1.7.2. This change does not affect SVN at all. And doesn't
affect the downloads available in sourceforge. Additionally it doesn't
affect anything in the maven repository. The mistake was that the github tag
for 1.7.2 pointed to the wrong commit, it was off by one. This re-tag, is
corrected.

Thanks again Alan.

An interesting read on if you should alter a published bad tag to fix it, or
admit defeat and create a new tag:
