Hi Paul, Could you give us more details on what messages you are seeing in Ubuntu 11.04?
For instance, could you forward on a log of your commands or screenshot of what happens when you try to install DSpace on Ubuntu 11.04? Obviously, the commands should not be uninstalling Ubuntu. If you can forward us on some more information about which commands you are running and what errors or messages Ubuntu is reporting, then we should be able to help you.
