I've got lots of errors like this in my logs:

Initial cause was No space left on device
The problem is now sorted out, and I don't get those errors anymore,
but I do have these showing up in my statistics report as actions
performed:

Is it safe for me to delete lines like that from my logs and then
regenerate my reports, or will there be unintended consequences?
I'm thinking of doing something like this:
for i in `ls dspace.log.2011-10-*`; do grep -v 'pipelinehash' $i >
output; mv output $i; done
then:
/dspace/bin/dspace stat-general; /dspace/bin/dspace stat-monthly;
/dspace/bin/dspace stat-report-general; /dspace/bin/dspace
stat-report-monthly
