I think you only need to change this one: ldap.id_field = cn Also this might be necessary: ldap.email_field = cn (Remember that DSpace uses email as user ID. This means that you'll be logging in with your cn, not email and since your netid is not an email address, users logging in via won't be able to receive emails from DSpace.
