I use method 2a -- at least partly, only the changes described on the Wiki page regarding ROOT -> xmlui redirect are set, the ones regarding the ssl.conf or proxy_ajp.conf are NOT. So to be honest, I don't actually know why I can access the XMLUI on port 80, I am not the one who installed this in the first place. There's no ProxyPass in the httpd.conf either. No authbind configured either... I'm puzzled.
