In that case, this has nothing to do with DSpace, but with the document authoring software (e.g. Adobe Acrobat or another PDF printer) of those specific formats. DSpace has only the responsibility to deliver or not to deliver you the whole bitstream. It has no effect on any more granular restrictions afterwards.
