A server response code 404 means it can't find the resource/page you're trying to invoke. Look in the dspace.log(s) to see if there is any additional information about the error (there likely will be).
You can also look in the server error and/or access log(s) to see exactly what's happening. Sorry - not sure about the strange characters! Good luck!
