I am on the board of a professional association that is looking into
developing a DSpace subject repository. I have checked into many hosted
solutions and they are out of our price range. In the past week I have been
looking into using Amazon AWS EC2 as an option to reduce the costs. I also
noticed that in the last week Amazon introduced PostgreSQL on its Amazon RDS
service. Through searching the web I was able to find some complete code for
installing DSpace on Amazon AWS. However, this was for an older version of
DSpace. Is there a guide for Amazon AWS and DSpace? Would someone who has built
a DSpace repository on Amazon AWS be willing to share their code? Also for
DSpace would we need an EC2 instance and a RDS instance? or can it be done with
just a EC2 instance.
