Ist seems as if you use a field dc.Publisher in your input-forms.xml.
Each field used in the input forms must be registered in the metadata
registry first.
The field dc.publisher is part of the default metadata registry and the
default input form. It looks like that:
[dspace]/config/input-forms.xml
<field>
<dc-schema>dc</dc-schema>
<dc-element>publisher</dc-element>
...
</field>
You use a field
<field>
<dc-schema>dc</dc-schema>
<dc-element>Publisher</dc-element>
...
</field>
in your input forms.
As this is case sensitive those are different fields.
Maybe you created different forms for different collections, this would
explain why in some collections (using the default form) the submission
works and in other collections it does not work. Best use dc.publisher
throughout your forms.
