I need to look that up. Have not in my mind about the way how shared groups 
work. Unfortunately I am in a rush. Need to go and shop some food.

Anyway... I think shared can only be trained by the owner (in your case the 
user with the name 'dspam'). Maybe I am wrong and this only apply to 
shared,managed? I don't know.

I think to successful train from within the web-ui when using a shared group 
you must ensure that DSPAM is seeing the right user when doing that training. 
Else it will not be able to find the signature in the signature table. It will 
find the signature but will not be able to match the uid to which the signature 
belongs.

Merged is another issue. There you should not face those issues.
