It's not just one person saying "Now I am going to release a new version of DSPAM". Anyway... the funny thing is that this week we have started on the project admin mailing list to talk about doing another release of DSPAM. > It is really bad that distribution packages are so outdated > (http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/dspam) > No, no, no. This is not fair. Ubuntu is Debian based and in the past Debian based distros where the one using ancient releases. And no! It has nothing to do us not releasing 3.9.1. If Ubuntu wants to use newer versions then there is 3.8.0 and even 3.9.0 available. That they got stuck on 3.6.8 has absolutely nothing to do with our slow release cycle for the 3.9.x series. > It is also really bad that on sf.net, last version is 3.9.1 "RC1"! > dated > from almost one year :( > This is not true. If you want the absolute newest version then you can use GIT Master. That one is as well available from sf.net. btw: Don't think that something that is almost one year old is something bad. > Reading the list for several month, I understood that the actual code > is > not perfect, > Nothing is perfect.
