Running DSPAM from within maildrop is no issue. I have done it many times. The "virtual" users are no issue either. Anway... before starting to guess what the issue could be... how about posting here how you call DSPAM? I mean the proper line of code where you call DSPAM. Just posting that it does not work, is not going to help any one of us debugging your issue.
