Hello guys, This might be a question that is more directed to Stevan but, by all means, if anyone else can confirm this, i'll be appreciated.
We had the need to deploy a second message store server, which is where we're performing content analysis with DSPAM. The older server is running an unofficial 3.8.1 version and it will be like so until we manage to perform the upgrade, which will be a bit tricky. For the obvious reasons, the new machine was installed with the latest available debian package, from debian sid. Both machines will run DSPAM in daemon mode, connecting to the same MySQL database, which is on a separate server. The database already went through the database upgrade process - which was done manually - and things seem to be working fine with the older server (3.8.1) so far. Never the less i'd like confirmation that nothing will break as soon as the new server starts using the same database. I also take this chance to thank Julien for his effort in putting DSPAM back in the debian roadmap. I must make a small suggestion though. The list of dependencies of the package shouldn't be that long. All MDA requirements should be converted to suggested packages since you may choose to run DSPAM with --stdout for classification, or even just use it to feed corpus. In either of these cases forcing the user to install an alternate MDA makes little sense.
